When and where is NCTOH 2027?
The 2027 National Conference on Tobacco or Health will begin at 8:30 am PT on Tuesday, June 29, and will conclude at 1:00 pm PT on Thursday, July 1st. All meeting sessions, including posters and exhibits, will be held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
Who should attend NCTOH 2027?
The National Conference on Tobacco or Health is the premier gathering of the U.S. tobacco commercial control movement. Meeting attendees will include representatives from federal agencies, academic institutions, national nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, state/local/tribal/territorial health departments, healthcare providers and payors, and other agencies that support tobacco product cessation efforts across the country at the local, state, and national level. Attendees will range in experience from those new to the field and seasoned veterans who have spent their careers working on this topic. If you work in commercial tobacco control in the U.S., this meeting is for you.
How can I submit an Abstract?
A Call for Presentation Proposals will open in August 2026.
How can I reserve a meeting room?
The National Conference on Tobacco or Health (NCTOH) will offer Ancillary meeting space at a fee. Details will be provided in the coming weeks.
Will you be offering Continuing Education Credits?
The National Conference on Tobacco or Health (NCTOH) will offer Continuing Education (CE) credits and provide more information once the agenda is finalized. The following agencies will be available:
- Council for Tobacco Treatment Training Programs (CTTTP)
- National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC)
- National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC)
Do I need to register?
Registration is mandatory for all those who wish to attend. Please use the register button to complete the registration process.
What are the registration fees?
The Early Bird rate is $995 until Sunday, January 31, 2027 after that date, General Admission is $1195.
Students who are actively enrolled full-time in a high school, college, or graduate program are eligible to register at the discounted student rate of $495.00.
What is included in the registration fee? What is not included in the registration fee?
The registration fee covers access to all sessions included in the program agenda, admission to the Exhibit Hall, electronic meeting materials provided through the conference mobile meeting application, and wireless internet access in all meeting spaces.
Please note that food and beverages are not included in the registration fee. However, there are numerous restaurants and shops within a short walk from the Hilton San Diego Bayfront where food and beverages can be purchased.
Additionally, lodging is not included in the registration fee, but we have negotiated competitive rates at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Upon completion of your registration, a link will be sent to you to book your hotel. Please be advised that the hotel will not provide our group rate if you contact them directly.
Is there a group discount?
Yes. Register 9 people and get the 10th registration free. When nine people are registered at the same time from an organization, a volume discount of $995.00 (early bird fee) applies, or $1195.00 (standard registration fee) is applied to one more registrant. A "Group" is considered ten people (registrants) from the same organization who register for the NCTOH at the same time. In order to receive the group discount, one person must register all ten people at the same time, and then pay for the group with one transaction. You will only receive the discount for the 10th registrant and the discount will only be applied using the group registration process. Please note:
This offer is not valid for anyone using a discount code. An individual using a discount code should not register in the "group." The promo code requires a separate registration process.
How can I pay the registration fee for NCTOH 2027?
Registration fee payment can be made by credit card or by check. If you wish to pay by check, simply select “pay by check” on the payment page of the registration process.
If you intend to pay by check, please make checks payable to NNPHI and include a copy of your NCTOH registration. Checks must arrive 45 days after you register and no later than Monday, June 5, 2027 (whichever comes first), and should be mailed to:

How do I make lodging reservations for NCTOH 2027?
The registration fee does not cover the cost of lodging. We have successfully negotiated a group rate of $329.00 per night, plus any applicable taxes that are in effect at the time of check-in. This rate includes wireless internet in your guest room and complimentary access to the fitness center. Please note that hotel room rates are subject to any applicable state and local taxes (currently 17.4%) that are in effect at the time of check-out.
Once you have completed your registration, you will be provided with a link to book your hotel accommodations. Please be advised that the hotel will not provide our group rate if you contact them directly.

How can I transfer my registration to another person?
If you are no longer able to attend and would like to transfer your registration to another person, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Main Registration Page and select "Already Registered"
- Fill in the required information fields to access your registration (Email Address and Confirmation Number) - if you do not have your confirmation number you can select to send it to yourself
- Select the "Transfer Registration" button
- Enter the Name and Email address of the new attendee and click "Next"
- Follow the prompts by selecting "Next" and "Submit" once completed.
How do I cancel my registration?
- If you are unable to transfer your registration to someone else from the same company, you may cancel your existing registration. Please review our cancellation policy below for more information.
- To cancel an existing registration, access your registration and click on the Cancel Registration button located at the top of the page. Various options will be available to you once you click on the blue buttons at the top of the page.
What is the cancellation policy?
Are there scholarships available to support registration fees and/or travel to NCTOH 2027?
At this time there are no scholarship options to support registration or travel to the NCTOH for attendees or presenters.
Is there a virtual option?
The National Conference on Tobacco or Health (NCTOH) is an in-person event. A virtual registration option may be available in the early spring of 2027, but it will be limited.
